The Q Revo is a great option if you’re seeking a robot vacuum and mop that’s middle-of-the-road. It’s a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.

You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can pick up pet hair with ease. It’s not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. What sets the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
