Digital image processing involves the manipulation of images using digital computers.One of the best way for implementing this is through the software named MATLAB whose demand has been increasing for the past years.MATLAB stands for MATrix LABoratory. MATLAB is a high-performance language for technical computing. It integrates the concepts of computation, visualization, and programming environment. Moreover, MATLAB is a modem programming language environment. It has sophisticated data structures, built-in editing and debugging tools, and supports object-oriented programming(OOP).MathWorks help to develop algorithms and applications to capture specialized data analysis workflows. Image or video analysis workflows are streamlined by implementing custom applications to facilitate the execution of processing algorithms.
MATLAB is one of the widely accepted tools for image processing and analysis.Image processing is the application of a set of techniques and algorithms to a digital image to analyze, enhance, or optimize image characteristics such as sharpness and contrast.
An Image Processing Engineer needs to develop and test image processing and data classification algorithms for security-related imaging products. He/She need to work with mechanical technicians and specialists in order to undertake the needs of rising hardware and also collaborates with electrical technicians and specialists to stipulate the energy and I/Q required by the representational process systems. They need to analyze data and develop methods using machine learning for feature extraction and classification. A critical aspect of this work is visualizing and communicating results. They will create visual interpretations of data and methods, write reports, and create presentations.
